Keep Yourself Hydrated
I feel like we say this too often but it really can’t be stressed enough. Hydration is the baseline for proper health. The Institute of Medicine (IOM) recommends that men drink at least 101 ounces of water per day, which is a little under 13 cups. They say women should drink at least 74 ounces, which is a little over 9 cups. There are more factors on what your proper intake should be depending on weight, so consult your physician on what numbers are right for you.
Give Your Eyes a Break
This is certainly a more modern concern for employee health, with so much of the time nowadays staring at some sort of screen. Digital screen eye strain can be fairly damaging if not addressed daily. Try practicing the 20-20-20 rule when at your desk. Every 20 minutes, stare at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
